The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) met on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. Commissioners reviewed applicants for open positions on three advisory committees. Applications are due August 14, 2026. Appointments will be made at the November 9, 2026, TREC meeting with service beginning on January 1, 2027.

Commissioners also considered several proposed rule amendments, including changes related to broker responsibility, qualifying and continuing education requirements, and the Standards of Practice for Texas real estate inspectors.

Additional agenda items included updates on agency operations and initiatives, the fiscal year 2027 draft budget and related financial policies, internal audit matters, approval of the Broker Responsibility Course text for 2027–2028, and discussion of topics for the upcoming November workshop.
