The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is pleased to announce that the agency’s completely redesigned website has been recognized for excellence by the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) with a 2017 Communication Award.  ARELLO is an international organization of real estate licensing agencies and individuals involved with regulation of the real estate industry globally.

TREC is honored to receive the highly competitive 2017 Communications Award from ARELLO. The agency has been previously recognized for their outstanding achievements in Education, particularly for the “Broker Responsibility” course in 2012 and 2016. This is the first time in over a decade that TREC has received a Communication Award from ARELLO.

Launched in February 2017, the entirely new, responsive design website gives TREC license holders and Texas consumers access to the information they want and need on any device they use. TREC’s homepage highlights important news, developments, and information for both license holders and consumers. In addition, the homepage provides direct access to the documents and materials most requested by visitors. An easy to use “license holder search” is now available on every page of the website so the public can find contact, education and other information about Texas 175,000+ license holders.

As part of redesigning the website, TREC also refocused the image of the agency, and offers itself as a reliable and unbiased source of accurate and essential information for license holders, and even more so now for Texas consumers. The new website gives the agency a much-improved ability to communicate and educate Texas consumers and license holders as part of meeting its ultimate goal of consumer protection. TREC is working hard to become the essential resource for information about real estate services in Texas.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to all of those involved in making this new website a resource with enormous potential for enhanced communication and education. The award will be presented in a special “Award Winning Ideas” presentation session at the 2017 ARELLO Annual Conference in September.
