Effective February 1, 2021, sales agents and brokers will be required to complete three hours of coursework on the subject of real estate contracts as part of the 18 hours of continuing education (CE) required to renew a license.  TREC has made updates to the website to help prepare for the upcoming change.  

License holders can easily search contract-related courses using the “contracts filter” on the approved CE course list. Also, the education history portion of the license holder search tool has been updated to show subject areas for courses, helping license holders determine if a course counts towards elective credit, contracts, Legal Update I and II, or Broker Responsibility. For all the latest information on this update, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter, and check the TREC website before renewing a license.
