Starting February 1, 2021, sales agents and brokers will be required to complete at least three hours in contract-related coursework as part of the 18 hours of continuing education (CE) required to renew a license or activate a license. 

License holders can search all approved contracts courses on the TREC website using the “contracts” filter on the “Approved Real Estate CE Course List.” Starting February 1, license holders within their renewal period will be able to use the “Renewal Education” button within license holder lookup to confirm if this course requirement has been completed quickly.

This requirement is for all agents and brokers renewing after January 31, 2021, no matter their expiration date. If you have questions about a contract course you have taken, please contact a customer relations specialist at information@trec.texas.gov
