A sponsoring broker may delegate responsibility for supervising sponsored license holders to another sales agent or broker. The process for notifying TREC depends on the license type of the delegated supervisor.

Designate a Sales Agent as a Delegated Supervisor

1. Log in to the Real Estate and Appraiser License Management (REALM) Portal.
2. Click My Records.
3. Find the sponsoring broker's license and click Amendment in the Action column.
4. Select Update Supervising License Holder from the Type of Change Request menu.
5. Click Add a Row.
6. Enter the sales agent's license number, including the suffix.
7. Complete the remaining steps.

Designate a Broker as a Delegated Supervisor

1. Log in to the REALM Portal.
2. Click My Records.
3. Find your broker license and click Amendment in the Action column.
4. Select Update Supervising License Holder from the Type of Change Request menu and click Continue Application.
5. Click Look Up.
6. Enter the license number of the broker you want to designate as the delegated supervisor, including the license number suffix.
7. Follow the remaining instructions in the REALM Portal to complete the request.

After submitting the request, allow time for processing. You can use the License Holder Search to verify the supervising license holder information.

Important Information

• Only a sponsoring broker may submit a request to designate a delegated supervisor.
• The broker designated as the delegated supervisor must hold an active Texas broker license.
• A delegated supervisor may supervise one or more sponsored sales agents as authorized by the sponsoring broker.
• A sponsoring broker is responsible for ensuring that delegated supervisors understand and follow the brokerage's policies and procedures.

Removing a Delegated Supervisor

To remove or change a delegated supervisor, use the Update Supervising License Holder amendment in the REALM Portal and follow the prompts to update the supervising license holder information.
