As a result of the healthy Texas real estate market, the agency has seen an increase in new applications and longer hold times.  TREC is committed to providing superior customer service to anyone who reaches out to the agency. Part of that commitment is a dedication to ensure short hold times and quick responses to emails. To ensure the agency is maintaining the highest level of customer service, TREC has hired and is now training additional staff to answer phones and respond to emails.   

The TREC website has several tools available to provide answers to some of the most common questions an applicant or license holder might have, such as the application tracker and the ability to check any outstanding education needed. Our contact center is open from 7 am to 6 pm Monday – Friday. Although we are available all day, shorter wait times are generally between 7 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm. Callers can also utilize our courtesy callback feature to save time. Just leave your phone number to keep your place in line and you will receive a call back from the agency.  

If you prefer to contact us via email, you can submit your request on our website or send us an email at Information@trec.texas.gov and include your name, license number, and any questions you may have. We will respond to the majority of all email inquiries within 1 business day.
