The Broker-Lawyer Committee seeks to appoint two broker members to serve a six-year term beginning September 1, 2025. The BLC drafts and revises all contracts promulgated by the Texas Real Estate Commission. It consists of

• Six members appointed by the Commission
• Six members appointed by the State Bar of Texas
• One public member appointed by the Governor's Office.

Applications are due Friday, May 16. A current résumé and a cover letter describing your qualifications to serve on the committee—including your understanding of the responsibilities of the BLC, the role of TREC forms in the industry, and how often you review or use the contracts—is required.
