Important Announcement! - The REALM Portal activation email started going out at 8:30 a.m. CT today. Because of the volume of email messages and the personalization of each it will take some time for them to reach your inboxes. If you don’t receive it by tomorrow, please reach out to us.

On September 1, 2021 inspectors are required to complete a new 8 Hour Inspector Legal & Ethics and Standards of Practice Review course as part of the 32 hours of inspector continuing education (CE) required to renew or activate a license.

This course will replace the two inspector non-elective CE courses, 4-hour Inspector Legal & Ethics, and 4-hour Standards of Practice Review course that will expire on August 31, 2021.

What does this mean for me?

If you have already enrolled in the two 4-hour non-elective courses, you must complete them prior to August 31, 2021, to receive credit for them.

What if I already completed the two 4-hour non-elective courses, but my license is not due for renewal until after September 1?

If you completed the courses within your license term (the two-year period before your license expiration date), then those courses will count towards your renewal, even if you do not renew until after September 1.

What if I don’t enroll in any CE courses until after September 1?

If you do not enroll in CE until after September 1, your only choice for non-elective CE will be the new 8-hour Inspector Legal & Ethics and Standards of Practice Review course.

Review your education course listing on our website by performing a license holder search for your license to confirm if you have already completed your non-elective CE.
