ESAC Recommends 30-Hour Real Estate Brokerage Course as Part of SAE Requirement and Updates to Property Management Course Outline
Submitted by Summer Mandell on Tue, 2023-01-17 16:28The Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC) met January 9 and appointed new leadership, discussed the revised property management course outline, and made recommendations for the Commission to propose an amendment to 535.55.

Exam Topic Reports for Inspectors
TREC administers licensing examinations for sales agents, brokers and inspectors applicants through a contract with Pearson Vue. Each quarter, Pearson Vue publishes reports on the success rates for exam questions grouped by topic. Education providers and students may find this information helpful in identifying topics where success rate is lower and focusing increased attention to these areas.

Education Standards Advisory Committee Discusses Qualifying Course Outlines for Property Management, Real Estate Brokerage
Submitted by Summer Mandell on Thu, 2022-07-21 14:34The Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC) met July 7 and discussed pre-licensing course credit and the qualifying course outline for real estate brokerage and property management.
Pre-Licensing Course Credit
The committee discussed whether to further consider recommending a time limit for accepting and awarding pre-licensing course credit. Any update would require a rule change. Staff will gather data on this issue and present to the committee for discussion at the next committee meeting in October.
Education Standards Advisory Committee Accepting Applications for Members
Submitted by Summer Mandell on Fri, 2022-07-15 13:57The Texas Real Estate Commission's Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC) is accepting applications to fill two education member positions by real estate instructors or owners of real estate schools, accredited by the Commission, that provide qualifying or continuing education. It is also accepting applications to fill four real estate license holder positions.
