Agenda Item 1 Call to Order
ACTION: Chair Brown called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

No comments were received.
Agenda Item 6 Discussion and possible action regarding E&O insurance requirements, including review of the business entity broker application and related documentation
The committee took a break at 11:15 a.m.
Chair Brown reconvened the meeting at 11:24 a.m.
ACTION:The committee decided by consensus to have staff highlight information on E&O insurance and best practices for business entity brokers via messaging or through its website.
Agenda Item 7 Discussion and possible action regarding broker associates, including identifying affiliations among license holders on TREC website
ACTION: Brian Sales, seconded by Ty Williams, moved to recommend that the Commission look into the possibility of notifying the public on the TREC website of who is a broker associate within a brokerage. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
ACTION: Brian Sales, seconded by Ty Williams, moved to recommend that the Commission also notify a broker entity and sponsering broker of a complaint when a broker associate affiliated with that broker entity receives a complaint. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
Agenda Item 8 Discussion and possible action regarding supervision of teams in real estate brokerages
No action was taken.
Agenda Item 9 Discussion and possible action regarding future agenda items and meeting dates
• Suggested meeting dates: Wednesday, April 12, 2023
• Alternate dates: Tuesday, April 11, 2023, or Thursday, April 13, 2023
ACTION: The committee requested the following items be added to the next agenda:
- Discussion regarding the difference between a broker and sponsoring broker with members providing examples of how that looks at the April meeting (ex: experience or education) after reviewing the Real Estate Brokerage Course Approval form up for proposal at the February 2023 Commission meeting; and
- Discussion and possible action regarding TREC rules §535.2 and §535.157 being proposed at the February 2023 Commission meeting.
The next meetings are scheduled for April 12, 2023, July 12, 2023, and October 11, 2023.
