Agenda Item 1 Call to Order
ACTION: The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m.

Agenda Item 2 Remarks from the Chair/Housekeeping
Chair Lerner informed the working group that any recommendation(s) would need to be presented at the November Commission meeting. Deputy General Counsel Mark Moore informed the committee that he was retiring effective September 1, 2020.

Agenda Item 3 Discussion and possible action to amend the July 8, 2020, meeting minutes
No amendments were requested.

Agenda Item 4 Public comment on non-agenda items
No comments were given.
Brian Sales joined the meeting.

Agenda Item 5 Discussion and possible recommendation regarding education requirements for an individual real estate broker license
Note: Brian Sales exited the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
ACTION: Chance Brown, seconded by Pam Titzell, moved to recommend that 270 classroom hours be required for pre-licensure and SAE, 360 additional classroom hours must include Real Estate Brokerage and the Broker Responsibility Course, and classes taken as part of a real estate program at a college or university may count towards the additional 360 hours if taken within five years. Chance Brown, seconded by Pam Titzell, moved to amended his motion to remove, "if taken within 5 years." The amended motion passed with Bill Roth voting no.

Agenda Item 6 Discussion and possible recommendation regarding experience requirements for an individual real estate broker license
ACTION: Chance Brown, seconded Socar Chatmon-Thomas, moved to recommend that 3600 points with four years active practice in real estate within the previous five years remain the same, to remove credit for for listing agreements and buyer representation agreements, to give greater credit at 40 points per month for management experience with no cap, and to expand experience audit system. The motion passed by unanimous vote.

Agenda Item 7 Discussion and possible action regarding comments received on other broker responsibility working group items since the last meeting
Two email comments were received.  No action was taken.

Agenda Item 8 Discussion and possible action regarding future agenda items and meeting dates (September 9, 1 p.m. and October 14, 1 p.m.)
ACTION: Future agenda items include apprenticeship, military, and broker reciprocity. The next meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.
