Licensee Info Search Tips

When Searching by Number

Simply enter the number. It's okay to put a zero on front, or leave it off.
Either of these works the same way: 0123456 or 123456

When Searching by Name

To Search by Individual Licensee's name

Searches must begin with at least the first two characters of the licensee's last name, UNLESS...
If you select the (advanced search - any part of name) button, you can search based on any characters in the name. For example, this is useful when finding everyone whose last name ends in something like "son" (Anderson, Johnson, Smithson). Note that all licensees' names are in the TREC computer in this format:
"LastName, FirstName Middle (name or initial with no punctuation) Suffix". Therefore your search will be more effective if you type "son," rather than "son".

EXAMPLE - Looking for: the licensee you know as "Eddie G. Jones"

This search will work: "Jones, Eddie G" (be sure to omit the period)
This search will work: "Jone" (but will return a ton of records)
This search (with the any part of name button selected) will work: "Eddie G"
This will NOT work: "Eddie G. Jones" or "Eddie Jones"
This will NOT work: "Eddie Jones"
To Search by a Company Name or a "Doing Business As" name

Searches must begin with at least the first two characters of the company's name, UNLESS...
If you select the (advanced search - any part of name) button, you can search based on any characters in the company name. For example, if you remember a company's name as "The Big Real Estate Company", but can't find it that way, select the (advanced search - any part of name) button and just enter the words, "Big Real Estate Co"; you may then get the result you seek.

EXAMPLE - Looking for: "The Big Realty Company"

This search will work: "The Big Realty Co"
This search will work: "The Big R"
This will work only if the "(advanced search - any part of name)" button is selected: "Big Realty Company"
